Dwyane Wade Makes Rap Debut On Rick Ross' New Single 'Season Ticket Holder'

Dwyane Wade has officially entered the rap game.

On Friday (February 21), Rick Ross dropped his latest single, "Season Ticket Holder," featuring the retired basketball legend along with Raphael Saadiq and Miami Heat power forward Udonis Haslem (a.k.a. UD).

On the song, the three-time NBA Champion raps about his multiple championship rings, his wife Gabrielle Union, and, of course, his lavish Miami lifestyle.

"I'm the son of a saint, still considered a sinner (Ha)/ Three rings on his finger, yeah, that boy was a winner (Winner)/ Never known as a singer but this might be a single (Facts)/ Always bet on your homies, then go buy the casino (Ballin')," Dwyane raps on the first verse. "Ball is my passion, check my stats if they askin' (Uh)/ Shawty checkin' my page, she follow my fashion (I'm clean)/ My life is a film and Gab's the lead/ She's so precious to me, as the air that I breathe/ Time to fuel up the jet, D-Wade jersey the drip (Yeah)/ Lamborghini's to match, got Guccis on the strip (Oh yeah)/ These haters beneath us as I'm lacin' my sneakers (You dig?)/ Season sixteen, Lamborghinis and Neimans."

The track marks D-Wade's rap debut, which he opened up about on Good Morning America earlier this week. "I wanted to get on one song, one day," he explained. "Rick Ross, who's a good friend of mine, reached out and said, 'D, let's do a track for the city.' So my last year I filmed a song with Rick Ross called 'Season Ticket Holder.'" He then jokingly added a disclaimer, saying, "I don't know if it's good though."

D-Wade later revealed to ESPN's Rachel Nichols that it was the recent loss of his friend Kobe Bryant that pushed him to make his music dream a reality.

"I saw a video [Kobe] did with Brian McKnight and for me as someone who was a fan of his, I got a chance to see him in so many different facets of life," Dwyane shared. "And I was like, you know what? I need to do things that are out of the box and things that people can laugh about later and talk about later and just have memories and moments... I'm having fun."

The former Miami Heat guard, who played for the franchise for the majority of his 16-year career, promoted "Season Ticket Holder" on social media earlier this week, calling the single, "A lil something for Miami Wade County."
