On today’s edition of The Odd Couple with Kelvin Washington & Rob Parker, Rob explains why he believes Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is the Wizards version of Michael Jordan right now at this point in his career after Mahomes said that this season the team was going to focus on having fun this year after being under a ton of pressure last season.
Rob Parker: “I got news for Patrick Mahomes and all the Chiefs fans. Patrick isn't fun anymore. The style of quarterback that he was when he burst onto the scene, throwing the ball all over the yard and making these plays and all that, we haven't seen that for a few years now. He is Jordan-esque, the only problem is, he's the Washington Wizards Michael Jordan. He's that guy now. You know why it wasn't fun? Because you shouldn't have won half the games you won because you got lucky or something.”
Kelvin Washington: "The Michael Jordan comparison I'm OK with, but I think you went too far with the Wizards. I will give you the last bit of Jordan where Jordan no longer was sticking the tongue out flying through the air. Jordan was mid ranging you to death. One thing I'll cut them some slack. They did have some injuries to the receiver core, and running backs, so their offensive core was affected for some time.”
