Dan Patrick believes an NFL kicker will hit a 70-yard field goal this season—and he might be right. Eagles DC Vic Fangio pointed out recent changes to how kicking balls (K-balls) are prepared, possibly giving kickers more distance. They are hitting them from that far on a regular basis in practice already and, assuming they don’t get blocked due to their lower trajectory, it’s bound to happen sooner rather than later.
